The Infamous Mass Murderer: James Holmes

James Eagan Holmes was the man responsible for the 2012 Aurora, Colorado mass shooting that resulted in 12 people killed and 70 injured. Before the shooting he had no previous criminal record and what some people may consider a 'normal' childhood. It was a shock that someone who seemed like any typical individual would plot thoroughly such an attack on innocent civilians that led to him being sentenced to 12 life sentences without the possibility of parole. One of the most controversial topics that arose from this case was weather or not he was actually mentally ill and if it contributed to his actions.
